About his art...

The art work

of academic painter Jaromir Fajkus
(25. 3. 1924 – 30. 6. 2009)

The painter adopted a few artistic techniques for his art works. His art creation was mostly based on oil technique of painting on canvas or sololite board. He also desinged quite a lot of graphic lists (range from theme pictures to small kinds as PF cards), mosaics for outside or inside instalation, vitrage and sgrafito.

The topics of the art work were:

The art techniques and themes thanks to outer or inner impulse changed, modificated and inovated by the time according to an actual potential of the painter´s feeling and mood, as it usually is in a great personality´s life.

Academic painter Jaromír Fajkus improved his art style as his art peformance and his colour sensibility matured the whole life. That while he used to return – sometimes after quite a long time – to his iol paintings and modificated them according to his newest experience and artistic knowledge. His art work developed with his maturing art personality. Each art work then contains the features of the long-term non-stop creating process.

The academic painter identified with a clasic attitude to painting, which required to get the highest mastery of painting art handicraft. His excelent initial realistic creating moved forward to impressionism, the higher level of presenting reality.

In most his paintings or graphics is created a real object how it is seen by the painter in his mind and imagination. From the first view it is possible to perceive a perfect creation but it is needed a proper searching and taking in because just after a while a viewer is able to accept the genius colour and shape composition. At the beginning of a new millennium the painter created a few paintings which do not correspond with the previous lines. Fantastic pictures are just a little excursion of abstract art in his whole life art work.

His oil paintings are deeply impressive art works – the more a viewer observes them, the more admires them, they seem to the viewer more and more splendid and magnificent and would never bore. That principle is found as one of the distinguishable key marks of the real art work. From that point of view the painter´s art work can be darly compared to the top impressionistic art works from 19th and 20th century.

The master art pieces of academic painter Jaromír Fajkus has not been appreciated enough by the public yet in spite of the fact that they belong to unknown and uncommon treasure of Czech and world art work. That time is surely coming...
